Resold

For UK sellers on Vinted, Depop and eBay

Your real reseller profit. HMRC ready. No bots.

Log a sale in 10 seconds and see what you actually made after fees, postage and stock costs. Resold keeps tidy, HMRC ready records on your phone and never touches your marketplace accounts.

Then £5.99 a month on the web, or £6.99 in the app. One subscription covers both.

See how it works
  • 7 days free for new accounts
  • UK tax year built in
  • No marketplace logins

Example from the app: a pair of jeans sold for £22, with £4 stock cost and £3.20 postage, shows £14.80 profit.

How it works

Everything a reseller needs to keep, in one place on your phone.

Four things, done properly. No dashboards to configure, no spreadsheet formulas to fix at midnight.
  1. 01

Log a sale in 10 seconds

Tap plus, pick the item and type what it sold for. Resold works out the platform fees and shows your real profit before you hit save.

    • Fees for Vinted, Depop and eBay worked out for you
    • Import past sales from a CSV
    • Works offline, syncs later
  2. 02

Scan receipts, never lose a cost

Snap a charity shop or car boot receipt. Resold reads the shop, date and total, splits it across your stock, and keeps the image with your records.

    • Unlimited scans, no monthly cap
    • Check and edit everything before it is saved
    • Log mileage for sourcing trips too
  3. 03

Know where you stand with HMRC

See your sales count on each platform for the calendar year, and your turnover against the £1,000 trading allowance for the tax year. Plain words, no jargon.

    • Reporting counts per platform
    • Trading allowance tracking, April to April
    • Self Assessment deadlines with countdowns
  4. 04

Your Tax Pack, ready when you are

One tap builds a PDF and CSV with turnover, cost of goods, expenses by category and profit worked out both ways. Keep it, or send it to your accountant.

    • Monthly breakdown and full item list
    • Receipt images included
    • Export all your data whenever you like

Why Resold

Why not a bot or a spreadsheet?

There are a few ways to keep track of reselling. Here is how they compare for a UK seller who does most of it on their phone.

  • Since 1 January 2024, UK marketplaces such as Vinted, Depop and eBay share seller details with HMRC once you make 30 or more sales, or receive about €2,000 (roughly £1,700), in a calendar year on that platform.

A report is not a tax bill. Selling your own unwanted things for less than you paid is usually not taxable. If you buy things to resell for a profit, that counts as trading, and Resold helps you keep the records that show what you actually made.

  • It is the reporting threshold. Each platform counts your sales on its own, from January to December. Reach 30 sales or about €2,000 on one platform and it passes your details to HMRC.

Resold shows your count for each platform, for example 23 of 30 sales on Vinted, so you always know where you are.

  • If your trading income (turnover, before costs) is £1,000 or less in a tax year, which runs from 6 April to 5 April, you usually do not need to tell HMRC about it.

Above that you may need to register for Self Assessment, and you can deduct either your real costs or the £1,000 allowance, not both. Resold tracks your turnover against it and shows which option gives the lower profit figure.

  • No. Resold is one plan, Resold Pro, and every new account starts with a 7 day free trial. After that it is £39.99 a year or £5.99 a month on the web, paid by card, or £49.99 a year or £6.99 a month in the iPhone app, billed by Apple. The same plan works in your browser and on your iPhone.

The free trial is for new accounts only, once per person. If you come back later or your subscription has lapsed, you subscribe without a trial.

  • Apple takes a commission on subscriptions bought in the app, so the app price is a little higher: it is £5.99 a month on the web and £6.99 in the app, or £39.99 and £49.99 a year. It is exactly the same Resold Pro either way.

One subscription unlocks both. Subscribe on the website by card and sign in on your iPhone with the same account, or subscribe in the app and use Resold in your browser too. You only ever pay once.

  • Start it on the website or in the app. You pay nothing for the first 7 days, and you will not be charged if you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.

Started on the web: cancel from your account, in the billing settings. Started in the app: Apple asks for a payment method, and you cancel in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. Refunds for App Store purchases come from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

  • They stay yours. If your subscription lapses you can still sign in and download all your data, so you never lose your sales, costs and receipts.

Subscribe again whenever you like and everything picks up where you left off.

  • No. Resold is a record keeping tool. It does the maths and explains the rules in plain words, but it does not know your full situation.

Resold helps you keep records and gives estimates. It is not tax advice. Check GOV.UK or speak to an accountant about your situation.

  • Never. Resold does not ask for your marketplace passwords, and it never posts, bumps, messages or scrapes on your behalf. You add sales yourself, ring them up on the till at a market, scan receipts or import a spreadsheet.

No bots, so there is nothing that could put your accounts at risk.
